"Blanquita" restaurant offers exquisite dishes prepared with the best ingredients in the region.

This place is located in Iquitos in Bolognesi street between '9 de diciembre' and 'abtao' streets, this is in the city center. 

 Is a great example of the traditional food of our city, presenting its most delicious dishes in its varied menu available on the premises. During all 25 years this place is working, it has gotten many clients who delight the palate with tastier dishes from Iquitos.

Amazonian colors and flavors come together and make this place a renowned restaurant.  As main courses it presents Calzone made with Yuca, Juanes made with Yuca and fish, Grilled deep-fried pork with Tacacho, Fried Paiche and others. 

One of my favorite dishes is Juane, it's a very unique kind of hen and rice tamale, known affectionately as Juane. Its presentation and flavor is different from other tamales, and the only resemblance it have with them are the leaves that enclose it. For the filling, hens, eggs, rice, wild herbs and other local seasonings are used, they also have a big choice of delicious traditional drinks from iquitos.

Now, I'm going to tell you about my experience in this place, I got to know the place thanks to my friend of all my life, we went to school together, he's the owner's son and he was the one who took me there; of course I was delighted with the place, I love it represents our regional gastronomy, that's why "Blanquita" is my favorite restaurant, I love my city's food. Peruvian gastronomy is the best!
